Results, Recalls & Reminders

Results for pathology or radiology which are normal and require no further action will be advised to you by SMS/Text. The message will indicate that no further action is required.

Doctors at this practice routinely request patients to return for a follow up appointment if pathology or radiology results indicate anything that requires further discussion with you. This is referred to as a Non-Urgent Recall Appointment. This will usually occur by SMS, and you will have the ability to make the appointment using your phone app.

Urgent results will be advised in person by your doctor.

Appointments to discuss results will not necessarily be covered by your Medicare rebate.  If the results are being advised by a doctor other than your normal doctor, or the results are not straight forward and require additional time to interpret, research or advise, then a fee will be charged at the discretion of the doctor.

Reminders for repetitive checks such as cervical screening or skin checks are entered into our systems and are automatically generated via SMS as a reminder to you to make an appointment.
